How much does it cost to sign up?

Applying for a card is free. You will be charged an $8.00 Activate and Load Card Fee once you activate and load your card.

Is this a credit card?

No, this is not a credit card. This is a Visa Prepaid card. It can be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted; however, the money you spend is money you have loaded to your account. The best part is, you will never be charged an overdraft fee!

What kind of credit do I need to be approved for the Jump Card Visa Prepaid Card?

All types of credit are encouraged to apply! Approval is based on our ability for verify your personal information. You are required to provide a valid Social Security number, date of birth, and physical proof of your address within the U.S.

How do I activate my prepaid card?

Before you can use your prepaid card, you need to active it. Simply call the phone number on the sticker attached to your card and follow the easy automated voice system prompts.

How do I set up Direct Deposit?

That's easy. You have two options, first, there is a direct deposit form included in the material that arrived with your card. Simply complete the form and mail it in. If you no longer have the material, or wish to sign up online, sign in to your account at www.myjumpcard.com and enroll today!

ACH to Card

Sure. Simply sign into your account at www.myjumpcard.com and add your bank account information. Once you have your bank account information saved to your account, you can transfer up to $500.00 to your Jump Card. Please remember to allow up to forty-eight (48) hours after your online transfer for the funds to be available for you to use in your Jump Card account.

Can I send money from my card to a family member or a friend?

Yes, if a family member or a friend has a Jump Card; it is easy to transfer funds from your card to theirs by signing into your account at www.myjumpcard.com. A $2.00 Card to Card Transfers Fee is charged for each transfer.

How soon after I load money on my prepaid card will I have access to the funds?

Funds loaded by direct deposit are available immediately. Funds loaded via cash loading networks are available within two (2) hours of loading. Funds loaded via ACH transfer are available within forty-eight (48) hours after completion of the transfer.

How much does it cost to add money to my prepaid card account?

Jump Card does not charge a fee for adding money to your Jump Card Visa Prepaid Card. You may, however, be charged by the financial institution or money transfer service. Direct Deposit is the most cost effective way to load your prepaid card.

What do I do if my card is lost or stolen?

As long as you immediately report any problems or a lost or stolen Jump Card to our Customer Service department, you will not be responsible for any unauthorized transactions. There will be a Reissue Card Fee of $5.00 for each replacement card sent.

Where can I use my card?

Use your card to make purchases everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted: online, in stores, hotels, paying bills, you can even buy us lunch if you feel like it. The Visa Zero Liability* policy protects you from unauthorized purchases made with your card.

Can I use my card to rent a car or make hotel reservations?

If you use your Card at a restaurant, a hotel, for a car rental purchase, or for similar purchases, the merchant may preauthorize the transaction amount for the purchase amount plus up to 20% or more to ensure there are sufficient funds available to cover tips or incidental expenses incurred. Any preauthorization amount will place a "hold" on your available funds until the merchant sends us the final payment amount of your purchase. Once the final payment amount is received, the preauthorization amount on hold will be removed. It may take up to seven (7) days for the hold to be removed. During the hold period, you will not have access to the preauthorized amount.

Can I use my card at an automated fuel dispenser?

Yes. If you use your Card at an automated fuel dispenser ("pay at the pump"), the merchant may preauthorize the transaction amount up to $100.00 or more. If your Card is declined, even though you have sufficient funds available, pay for your purchase inside with the cashier. To avoid holds and pre-authorizations, we recommend going inside to pay at the cashier.

How much does bill pay cost?

There is no cost to you when you use your Jump Card to pay bills through our bill pay service. Most other prepaid card programs will charge you when you use bill pay, but not the Jump Card! Even if we have to send paper checks on your behalf, it is still free to you!

It's Free! The Jump Card comes with an amazing tool that makes managing your money a breeze! Viewing and sorting your transactions is easy and straightforward, setting up budgets and alerts is built right in and you can import transactions from outside accounts too.

Yes, text and email alerts can be set up when you sign in to your account at www.myjumpcard.com. You can set up a variety of notifications and the best part is there is no cost for doing this!
